DESIGNING CONSIDERED EXPERIENCES FOR OVER A DECADE

I am a storyteller. I place high value on creating conversation over presentation; interaction over display. My approach is invariably strategic, with a keen eye for both the big picture and tiny detail. I’ve practiced and led design in many different environments, leaving me a versatile skill set, strong work ethic, and wide breadth of knowledge. 

My favorite engagements involve working directly with sharp, innovative brands and stakeholders—some of which include Herman Miller, Audi of America, Facebook, Google, Jawbone, Samsung and SodaStream. I thrive when innovating for existing brands or designing business and product from the ground up.

Over the years, my work has been shared, written about, published, distributed, and awarded. But most importantly to me, it’s been seen, used and enjoyed by real people.

I was raised in the woods, creatively educated in the desert and mentored with design in the big city. As a native Texan with roots in a place of big attitudes and big pride, my work is often bold and unabashed. 

I’m currently working with a small team at VBP Orange—an experience design group within Venables Bell and Partners. We are creating innovative, medium-agnostic experiences for brands in a category we’re helping define. 

In my more immediate future, I’m constantly finalizing the restoration of my ’72 CB750 and planning my next getaway. Finding new places, meeting new people and learning new things are my addictions.
